What we collect

We don't run accounts, a database or tracking cookies. The leads tool runs in your browser. Your chosen areas, filters, “last visit” markers and (if you subscribe) your licence key are stored only in your browser's local storage, on your device. You can clear them at any time by clearing site data.

Payments

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Gumroad, which acts as merchant of record. Gumroad collects your name, email and payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive your email address and purchase details from Gumroad so we can provide the service and answer support requests. When you enter your licence key, your browser sends it directly to Gumroad to confirm your subscription is active.

Third parties your browser contacts

• Food Standards Agency ratings API (api.ratings.food.gov.uk), to load the register data you ask for.
• Gumroad (api.gumroad.com), only when checking a licence key.
• Our hosting provider (Cloudflare), which serves this website and may keep standard technical logs.

The business data shown

Listings come from the Food Standards Agency's public food hygiene ratings register (Open Government Licence v3.0). We don't add contact details or combine it with other personal data. Councils withhold the addresses of home-based businesses. If you think a listing is wrong, contact the local authority shown on the FSA page.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
